Vacancy: Project manager for Cheers for Fears Transit

The mobile academy Cheers for Fears is looking for a project manager on a fee basis for the beginning of March to the end of September 2021. The position includes coordination, communication, controlling, room acquisition and furthermore programme design and PR. The project is based in NRW and includes 8-10 hours per week/ approx. 250 working hours in total.


From spring to autumn 2021, the platform for artistic research & production TRANSIT offers young artists and art students the opportunity to present their innovative, transdisciplinary ideas in a creative environment and to develop them in a research process accompanied by colloquia and mentors. Cheers for Fears also provides funding. The path is the goal – the completion of an artistic work is approved, but the focus is on the development of the artists, their professionalization and their exchange with colleagues from other disciplines. The production platform begins with an online kick-off on Saturday, March 6th and ends in a presentation on September 30, 2021 at the Ringlokschuppen Ruhr Mülheim.


We are looking for a curator, programme designer or production manager who has already gained initial experience with the design and implementation of collaborative programmes or events, e. g. through student festivals, assistantships, work at a university, etc. The project manager coordinates the production platform TRANSIT, gives impulses for the design of the entire format, advises the participating artists, moderates the colloquia and manages the finances in consultation with Cheers for Fears. He*She takes on the communication with all project participants, researches locations for research, moderates the colloquium and implements the final presentation. The Cheers for Fears team is available as an advisory and helping partner.
